Need to know about SEO.

Many Executives find themselves hostage to their IT department, and rightfully so in some cases.

Their are some basic facts and concepts you need to know.

1) Almost anything is possible, so if your IT department says NO or it can't be done what they are really saying is:

• I dont know how to do that, or do not have the skills to do that !
• We dont have the budget, time or team to do that !
• Your needs are not a priority over the needs of the rest of the work in the work que

What ever the answer is, it is a very rare occasion when we cant find a solution to a need of an executive or department !

2) You can have your entire value hi-jacked by just 1 line of code in your robot.txt file, so you really need to have a basic understanding of technology to help protect yourself.

3) Any one who PROMISSES or says Search Engine Optimization is easy, cheap or fast will probably deploy SEO tricks to get quick ranking but the long term ramifactions for that could include your ENTIRE SITE being banned form the search engines. Buyer beware !
